From our time with the title, we can say fans won't be disappointed by the series' portable conversion - multiplayer dogfights only sweeten the deal.

As for today, we've got a splash of new screens and a sweet intro movie. The franchise hasn't really had a misstep yet (we'll ignore the Game Boy Advance one) and Skies of Deception looks to continue the high-flying

Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception looking good on PSP

Group warfare

As beloved as the Ace Combat series may be, we can't help but wonder why it's still not online. It was for the Game Boy Advance, and was basically an overhead, bland-athon shooter. With the console-level power of the PSP, it looks like we may finally get to experience the same rabid-dogfight intensity of the PS2 Combats - shrunk down to a smaller scale, of

Aces land on the PSP

It's a good time to be an Ace Combat fan. The sixth game in the series, The Belkan War, hits the PlayStation 2 next week, and there's already more good news on the horizon. Namco Bandai has announced the tentatively titled Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception for the PSP, to be released this fall.

Ace followers already know that the series is the flight game to beat - nail-biting dogfights, sci-fi twists and authentic, licensed airplane action have made each entry a mid-air cluster of adrenaline.
