7 Wonders of the Ancient World

The PC-port of the somewhat-known puzzler bores your PSP

Your reward for putting your optometrist on speed dial and patiently waiting to clear the level? Another level… where you do the same damn thing. 7 Wonders offers 192 of these puzzles and even lets you play the completed ones in Free Play mode, although we can’t think of a reason why you would.

7 Wonders of the Ancient World is not a bad game by any means. There is more than enough puzzling to satisfy your itch. The poor level-completion dynamic mixed with the small playing area, and what sounds like the score from a rejected Bollywood musical don’t offer enough to keep you playing in extended bursts. The game is fun for as long as it lasts, which sadly, isn’t very long at all.

You'll love
  • Insatiable desire to complete puzzles
  • 192 levels for completionists
  • Nostalgia for Bejeweled
You'll hate
  • Luck more prevalent than strategy
  • Ridiculously tiny playing field
  • Awful score
