so the leaked controller was real this whole time

Except for a few details. Mainly the D-Pad will keep the original design which is definitely a good thing. The buttons on the right seem better spaced too.

The idea of instantly taking and sharing both screenshots and recording video is a huge plus. But the lack of backwards compatibility nearly breaks it for me, unless they figure something else out. Now I just want to see the damn thing,

Apparently Gaikai is working on making every playstation game (x,2,3,and 4) cloud based and playable from anything connected to psn, at least that's how I understand it from the article gr just posted. So it's "backwards compatible" but not in terms of physical discs I guess. I don't fully understand how it'll work but it sounds reasonable to me.

Wait, do we know about the potential act of blocking used games?

Really looking forward to The Witness. Reminds me of Myst and I love Myst.

That controller looks tiny. My manly hands didn't like the PS3 controller because it was too small.

What's with the triggers and the bevelled circle stuff :| God dammit Sony. At least the d-pad looks reasonable

That was a nice presentation There wasnt really any WOW graphics yet but Sony's point was clear. The unique ideas they have is definitley imaginitive and i love that first game they showed, looked awesome. That art with the Move was really nice too, that puppet thing was neat and hilarious, its like Wii Music 2013, the gifs are coming XD

No backwards compatibility really sucks. Probably means we won't be able to transfer all of our downloaded stuff to PS4 as well. They sold me on all other fronts, but have they learned nothing from the PS3's backwards compatible issues?!?!

Well done Sony, that's how to do a console reveal.. and you havent even shown us what the console looks like! Killzone looked shiny but uninspired, however microsoft have reason to fear Sony now, due to the Move of all things! Media Molecule have created something unique and inspiring. I think I will need to own both ps4 and the next xbox.. good bye outside world o/ As horrible as stopping used games from working sounds, i'm starting to think its a good thing, developers will benefit, and games are becoming more than just a 10-12 hour onetime playthrough, and much more social as driveclub demonstrated.

You will probably beable to upload your PS3 titles into the PS3 Cloud system and then download and playthem on the PS4.

Yes, it will gladly put the rip off company Gamestop out of Business, Yippi K Yae.........

Also, I think that if the spec of the next gen xbox and ps4 are very similar, the biggest difference between the two will be player created content. Currently playstation allows that but xbox does not. If next gen xbox still does not allow players to make their own content Microsoft will be shooting themselves in the foot. With the big focus of always online social driven experiences and sharing, I think this will be a big deal. Also, the bungie team looked like a boy band.. no disrespect though guys, im very impressed with destiny

Heres hoping Blizzard will show off Titan MMO at Blizzcon for Pc's and next gen consoles

Hmm, overall, I was impressed. I like the small but neat details of being able to instantly turn on and off the console, and the promise of having no load times seems like at last a reasonable, possible reality. I don't really give a carp about the entire sharing shenanigans, but that was cool nonetheless, i guess. Also, I don't really like that they are still trying to push the whole motion controller crap with that sensor bar, I'd have hoped Sony would have learned it's Lesson by now with the move, but oh well, at least the DualShock's core design remains unchanged, which is a big plus for me, haters can say all the crap they want, but the DualShock main design has remained for 3 entire console generations, and now 4, for a reason: it works on every level. Lastly, the games, don't really care too much about KZ: SHadowfall or the racing game, but Infamous Second Son looks really promising, so does the witness and Watchdogs, even if that one isn't going to be an exclusive title. ...That crap Media Molecule pulled though.. *facepalms* DIDN'T THEY LEARN NOTHING FROM THE IDIOTIC PRESENTATION OF WII MUSIC???

I wonder how much I should brace my wallet... I assume no backwards compatibility will lower costs some.
  • iluvpkmnmonday - February 20, 2013 5:46 p.m.

Anybody else think the guy presenting Infamous was a bit melodramatic?
  • minimaxi - February 20, 2013 5:50 p.m.

    I think it'll be a tad bigger
  • Eo1spy - February 20, 2013 5:51 p.m.

Available for pre-order from ShopTo for £399. I was hoping the price would max at £350, but we'll see.
