[PS3] Sony's job listing confirms racer is in development

A job listing for Sony's Liverpool development studios has confirmed that a PlayStation 3 version of iconic racer Wipeout is in development.

The Merseyside-based studio is looking for a senior/lead designer to work on Wipeout, which is described as being a "most revered, innovative and respected arcade/action racing franchise of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios".
The designer's task is then described as playing "a key role in realizing future iterations of Wipeout on PSP and PS3".

Wipeout has been a key game for Sony and its growth in the console market, as many see the original PSone game as being partly responsible for PlayStation brand's mainstream coolness.
