PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "In just over a week, PlayStation LifeStyle will be reporting live from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). We've been trying to get a handle on the plethora of PlayStation games that will be on display from June 2 through June 4, and it's quite astounding. If you weren't excited about the prospect of new announcements for the PlayStation brand, what if we told you there will be over 75 unique PlayStation games on display - that we know about?! While many are multiplatform titles (though the best still appear to be Sony-exclusive), it is a large increase from last year's showing."
Confirmed content this week is pretty scarce. However what is confirmed is an exciting offering, mainly due to Zen Pinball. Texas Cheat Em will make the poker fans happy. Of course there is the weekly Rock Band and Guitar Hero DLC to look forward to. We are expecting a PSP game, as Sony makes more PSP games available as a digital download.
Killzone 2 finally comes out this Friday. Now that we will all be able to bask in it's glory, it's time to focus on the other great titles that will grace the PS3 exclusively this year.
The PS3 exclusive White Knight Chronicles has now set a benchmark for 2nd week sales. After selling more than 200,000 in it's first week, the title continues to sell, according to the latest Famitsu numbers. Though it slipped from 1st to 6th overall in the rankings in it's second week, White Knight still sold 74,000 copies, which sets the record for best 2nd week of sales. It beat out Metal Gear Solid 4 and Devil May Cry 4, which went from 480,000 to 64,000 and 212,000 to 34,000, respectively.
SCRAWL: "The official White Knight Chronicles website has received a major update today. The new update adads a few new characters in the Character screen (one is a creepy old man) as well as some brand new enemies in the World screen (shown above). That's not all, they've also revealed a (flying?) ship in the World screen as well. Along with that, there is some new battle information in the System screen."
SCRAWL: "A new update to the official Japanese White Knight Chronicles website shows us a brand new area in the game as well as a new character. The new area is rather woodsy, it seems, as we see nothing but log-ccabins, wood, and grass. The new character, who's name we do not know in English, has a Knight just as the main character does, and it's pretty freakin' bad-ass too."
GP Reports: "In last night's presentation of Level 5 and SCE, more details on the much anticipated RPG title for the Playstation 3, White Knight Story, has been revealed. We know for a fact that White Knight Story is one of the first RPG exclusive to ever hit the Playstation 3. With the details revealed to us, the game is looking to be more promising for us RPG fans..."
