Warhawk will support up to 32 players online and offline with 25 maps spanning 5 different worlds. As we reported above, there is third-person, on-foot combat, land vehicles and of course, Warhawks. Think a more plane-centric version of Battlefield 2.
There will be close to 20 on-foot weapons in all, ranging from rocket launchers, flame throwers and rifles, and even a binocular-controlled artillery strike similar to the Xbox 360 hit Gears of War's Hammer of Dawn.
The Warhawks have a variety of different weapons, including TOW Missiles (must be fired in hover mode,) Swarm Missile, Homing Missile, Lightning Shell, Chaff (Anti-Missile Lock,) Shield and Air Mines.
The game is set in the future and centers around a conflict between two sides, the Eucadians and the Chernovans. At the time of press, even the producers of the game didn’t have the complete backstory nailed down, but they even admittedly said, “who cares? It’s red vs. blue.”
