From Dylan Jobe/game director for Warhawk states: "Ok ¿ so last week I posted about our v1.1 patch which mainly dealt with core stats and connection issues. Today, I'd like to let all of you know what's included in the v1.2 patch that is being tested right now.

Patch v1.2 addresses some main requests that our community has made as well as fixes the primary exploits and glitches ¿ and adds some new layouts!

Patch v1.2 includes:
* 5 New layouts.
* Clan game server option.
* Buddy slot reservations.
* Integrated Warhawk Store.
* Updated CTF capture/return behavior.
* Internal stat padder protection.
* Booster Pack status display at join game list.
* DualShock3 integration.
* Separate SIXAXIS motion control on/off per mode (ground, hover, flight).
* Detailed Player Score display at end of game fixed.
* Added new server type filters (player, ranked, dedicated, clan, Official Warhawk, etc).
* Added new server full/open filter.
* Fall damage exploit fixed.
* Dismount into walls exploit fixed.
* Invisible Tank, Turret & Warhawk exploit fixed.

In the new Game Informer magazine, is mentioned a Warhawk expansion in December, here is what it says: There aren't any screens available yet, but we saw an early version of this expansion pack in action. The big news is the addition of a new vehicle: the dropship. Armed with six missiles turrets and the ability to pick up ground vehicles (like tanks), the dropship will sure change the face of battle - so much so that previous zones will be modified slightly to integrate the new vehicle.

A Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson has confirmed to Level Up that sometime later this month, retailers will begin selling a $39.99 SKU of Warhawk that does not include the Bluetooth headset. When the game went on sale in August, two versions were available: a download-only version sold through the Playstation Network for $39.99, and Blu-Ray disc version with a Jabra Bluetooth headset packed in, for $59.99. With this price reduction, the retail and digitally distributed versions of Warhawk now sell for the same price.

Here is an announcement from a moderator at the EU Playstation forums informing gamers that they have increased the amount of Warhawk servers and there could be even more ranked servers to come.

"The successful launch of Warhawk on 30th August has resulted in a huge demand for games hosted on SCEE servers. In response to this and to get ready for this weekend's play, we have substantially increased the number of European ranked servers available to you. This will allow you to join ranked multiplayer games more easily. We will continue to monitor the number of servers required on a regular basis, and will be further increasing the number of SCEE servers over the coming weeks."

While monitoring the stats situation over the weekend Sony were largely pleased with the results. The vast majority of you were having proper stats registered on the server. That said, as of Monday, Sony are now seeing some players NOT getting their stats again. A smaller portion for sure, but there's still a problem.

Despite the game being highly rated amongst gamers and gaming journalists alike and delivering the much needed satisfaction for PS3 owners, what is sure to go down just as importantly and significantly is it's online server problems that have once again crashed. The Warhawk forums have burst alight with angry threads and, amongst other things, strong complaints as for the second time since launch, the statistical records of some Warhawk players have been wiped out - atleast from the public profile of players - for now.

With the recent rash of demos popping up on the PlayStation Network, we were shocked to not see a small demo available for Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA)'s Warhawk. Rather than speculate, GameDaily asked Sony whether the company might release the demo to gamers who are considering purchasing the product.

Don't expect a Warhawk demo but at only $39.99 as a full download over the PlayStation Network, GameDaily's Chris Buffa summed it up best as, "Sony delivers a superb online experience with Warhawk, a beautiful combat game full of breathtaking scenery and plenty of chaos."

A former employee of Incognito Inc. sheds light on just how dire the situation was after many of its workers left to form a new gaming studio, Eat, Sleep, Play. Amazingly, only 6 remained behind to finish the game and keep Incognito alive.

"Starting about 8 months ago the entire art staff and almost all of the programmers, (including every single network programmer,) walked out of Incognito. Scott Campbell took about 12-15 people and started Eat, Sleep, Play, and the rest, (about 30 people,) went primarily to Salt Lake City's Disney Studio. As of today the only people left at Incognito are Dylan Jobe, Bruce Woodward, Evan Christiansen, Lars Devore, John Crocker, and Nate Robins. Three are programmers and two are animators. Kirk Baum, the lead network programmer walked out about one week before they went gold. About a year ago there were close to 70 employees there. As you could guess, they have a significant problem on their hands."
