Dylan Jobe, Game Director of Warhawk, writes on the PlayStation.Blog:
This year multiplayer gaming has been taken to a new level with quality online experiences that are also great fun in an offline, living-room setting. Shooters occupy the majority of our nominations this year, but they're also joined a couple of the most innovative multiplayer titles ps3fanboy has seen to date.
Dylan Jobe posts:
Missing from the NPD November sales charts is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, which only managed 117,000 sales. To be fair, Uncharted did have a better first-month than Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (74,500 units), Warhawk (58,600 units) and Lair (46,500 units), but still fell behind Heavenly Sword's debut sales (139,000 units) in September.
Sony has been in touch to say that Warhawk expansion pack Operation Omega Dawn will be released on PlayStation Network next Thursday, 20th December.

Ok, so your warhawk game isn't working since the new update. It says something like "you aren't the user for this" or something to that gist. Well you be glad to know that this happened to everyone in Europe. And you would also be glad to know that they are working on a fix for it.
The Warhawk 1.1 patch is now officially available for download. To get the latest patch, just launch your Warhawk game and you will be notified that the 1.1 update is available. The download is about 8.2 megs. If you managed to get the patch before today's official release, when it was accidentally released, you'll find there are fixes to the "viral-rank-up" and the "time-in-vehicle stat".
Dylan Jobe: "FINALLY! -- and Yes...I realize this was a loooong time coming :-P We are going to be globally deploying the v1.1 during an extended maintenance window Friday, November 2nd between 5am and 9am Pacific. To recap, here are the items addressed by the patch:
Those of you who play Warhawk regularly are well aware of the sweeping orchestral tracks that accompany your frequent ass-kicking, which means the music plays a significant role in your experience. Well, if you want to bring a portion of that experience with you on the go, head on over to iTunes and download those very same tracks.
"This afternoon, some of our US players were inadvertently able to download the v1.1 patch prior to its official, worldwide deployment. This problem has been resolved and the v1.1 patch has been taken offline until we finalize our global test cycle". - Dylan Jobe, Game Directo of Warhawk
Next week, Sony Computer Entertainment America will be bringing its new PS3 brand campaign to TV. Unlike the initial "White Room" ads, these will focus on key titles and PS3 features. GameDaily Biz chat with Kim Ngyuen, SCEA Marketing Manager, about the new focus.
