Several UK retailers have now pushed back the release date of the highly anticpated title Warhawk, fuelling speculation that the game will be delayed with some confirming the title has been removed from their computer list of upcoming games.
WarHawk, one of the most anticipated title's for the PS3 has finally received a release date for later this summer. WarHawk is releasing to both the PSN store and shipping to retailer store shelves this August 22nd. The Blu-Ray version of the game will be priced at 59.99$ USD.
Modern multiplayer games have nearly killed something we loved from the Nintendo 64 era: split-screen multiplayer. Now that our televisions have more pixels and are larger, shouldn't we herald the return of split-screen multiplayer?
These are all just rumors, so do not get too excited.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe sent word to press outlets in Spain of its line up for the rest of the year, including new dates and additional confirmation on previously unconfirmed games. On the list of releases were games like LocoRoco 2 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, both scheduled for release this calendar year.
Sony sent over a press release announcing that the beta test for the PS3 multiplayer shooter Warhawk has been extended. Originally set to end today the beta test will now end on Monday, July 2.
Gamestop has a product page up for the PS3's highly anticipated shooter Warhawk. It details the contents of the retail disc version of the game, which is also being released as a downloadable game via the Playstation Network.
An email went out today to PSN subscribers of The Official Warhawk website having new videos up of game play showing some more of how the official game will play and how it looks right now in the beta.
The first magazine preview of PES 2008 ad FIFA 08 is available in the free PlayStation 3 magazine, P3Zine issue 4. It also includes Haze, warhawk GTA IV and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Thanks to a tip from JollyRoger, QJ found that some players are indeed resorting to less than legal ways to get into the Warhawk beta. QJ Forums member mhsmiq decided to "share" how. It basically requires tweaking with the PS3's Linux code.QJ currently don't have any confirmation whether the hack really works or not, but QJ really wouldn't advise you guys to try it. First, trying it carries the inevitable ban (either just for the Warhawk beta or worse - your PlayStation Network account) of unauthorized accounts.
I have noticed on the forums some of our BETA testers commenting on that fact that their particular make/model of HD tv doesn't support 720p thus they are forced to play Warhawk in 480p mode. This problem happens for many games that render 720p but are being displayed on a 1080i/480p monitor.
I have checked myself, and it is downloading as we speak with confirmed reports from message boards as well.

Apparently, you can now check to see if you have been accepted to the Warhawk beta. Simply go into your account management page and click "Transaction Management" then "View Service". If you're lucky, you will see a Warhawk Beta picture.
