German gaming webstite Gamefront has posted an image of the latest Playstation Magazine issue, in which both Lair and Warhawk have been reviewed. Both games will be in stores at around August/September but Playstation Magazine does not seem very happy with both games, as the magazine rates Warhawk 6.5, and Lair even lower: 5.0.
In the image of the magazine, you can see that Lair is described as: "A one-trick dragon" and destroys it with a 5.0 rating. Warhawk on the other hand is described as: "A third-person shooter that never quite gets off the ground", and rates the game with only a 6.5. The image can been see below.

IGN has received a near-overwhelming number of entries to the Warhawk tournament--and we've sifted through all the hopefuls, narrowing it down to 12 battle-ready soldiers eager to take on the Incognito development team.
The tournament, which will be held on the 23rd, will consist of three 16 vs. 16 matches. On the IGN side, there will be four IGN editors, plus 12 hand-selected players who've either shown that have the skills and determination to win. Their opponent will be the very makers of the Warhawk game--16 crack-team members from Incognito, who know all the ins-and-outs of the multiplayer mayhem.

Online blog ThreeSpeech just announced that it is currently offering slots to the upcoming Warhawk competition that is part of Sony's event, PlayStation 3Rooms. All you have to do is send in an email and if you make it to the first 50 entries in their inbox, you will get an invite.
The said blog site added though that they can't provide transportation and accommodation so you might want to reconsider if you are nowhere near Europe. To be exact, the event will take place on September 5 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in east London.

"Warhawk: They're "aiming for" August 28 on the PSN, at what we think is a very decent price of £19.99. The retail version, bundled with a Jabra bluetooth headset, is due September 21 at £39.99."

The normal RRP(Recommended Retail Price) for games in the United Kingdom is £49.99 for the Playstation 3. Online game retailers such as Play, Gameplay and ShopTo have updated their prices to reflect the PS3 exclusives as £39.99 RRP. This includes Warhawk(with headset), Heavenly Sword and Lair
It is worth noting that despite these RRP you can buy games online for £39.99 instead of the RRP of £49.99 and these Sony exclusive games are available online for £32.99 instead of the RRP of £39.99. This makes them £7.00 cheaper than all other new games coming onto the market.
Could this be a promotion by Sony to promote the exclusive games you can only buy on the PS3? Will these prices help sell more consoles?

Warhawk is a game every PS3 gamer should buy this September. It's a one-trick pony, for sure, being effectively an online-only game (think classic PS2 mash Twisted Metal: Black Online). With SCEA dodging the question by European gamers in regards to Warhawk's release date, and in addition to many UK retailers over the past week scheduling it for late 2007, it is pretty much all but confirmed that despite Icognito's promise - Warhawk will not be released worldwide on August 28th.
Now several UK retailers have specified a firm date of September 14th. Although this is not confirmed by SCEE, it seems very likely to be accurate.

Sony UK has remained quiet about when we'll see WarHawk in Europe and how much it will cost here.
It follows earlier confirmation from official US PlayStation blog, which announced the game would be released over there on 28th August.
The "premium" Blu-ray version will cost you USD 59.95 and will come with extra video content, a Bluetooth headset and a manual - apparently that's important. Alternatively you can buy exactly the same game without those trimmings on the PlayStation Network for USD 39.95.

"Warhawk has gone gold.
Hells Ya! The PSN and Blu-ray versions have gone "GOLD," completely finished and will go on sale August 28th ¿ just a few weeks away!
Next, what does Warhawk cost?
If you didn't already know, SCEA is taking an exciting new approach with Warhawk ¿ making it available for download directly from the PlayStation Store *and* releasing it at retail simultaneously. Each one has a different price. Why different pricing? A couple of reasons: first off, we wanted to give all of you the option, the retail game is more of a premium version with some expanded video content, traditional package and manual (this seems to mean a lot with some of the gamers I have spoken to), and a Jabra Bluetooth headset bundled with the game ¿ all for $59.99!
The PlayStation Store version will be $39.99 and I'm really glad that SCEA came through with a "good value" price for this ¿ it's the right thing to do."
