With all the videogames released each and every month, it can be a difficult task to decide on which title to spend your hard-earned money. Granted, you could always go by our review scores alone and weed through the long list of names to find something that scored high or low, but what if you had somewhere else to turn?

Rather than wait until the end of the year for our big award blowout, we've created this monthly tribute to the weeks that were. The entire PlayStation Team has come together so that we can tell our readers what we thought was the very best game for each system last month... and why. Though some of us often chime in with our comments at the end of reviews, for the most part, the reviews on IGN are primarily written by one editor. In this feature we had every editor on the channel vote for a single title. What better way to represent a team is there than to speak your collective minds?

Warhawk is a remake of a flight combat game of the same name; released as a launch title on the original PlayStation. The remake is multiplayer-only, with the ability to take control of planes, tanks, and jeeps. Though the game was initially to have both single-player and multiplayer modes, the single-player was scrapped because developers decided that it was vastly inferior to the game's mutiplayer component.

Now, many people were hoping that it would be released at midnight, as it was in the US store...

However, many were disappointed, and rumours sprouted up that it would be released at 5pm GMT.

However, as of 10:01 AM WarHawk is out in the European stores, I can confirm this as I am downloading now.

Warhawk hit the PlayStation Store yesterday and the positive reviews have been pouring in. Our review is coming as well, but in the meantime PS3fanboy.com wanted to post there early thoughts on Incognito's impressive shooter. Even after there relatively short play time(5 hours), they feel confident saying that this is one of the most addictive online experiences you can have on the PS3 -- or any console for that matter.

Warhawk, Sony's latest PlayStation 3 game, is available now from the PS3's digital download store. But gamers hoping to share the $40 game with their friends should know that Warhawk is for them alone.

While every other PlayStation 3 downloadable game can be shared with up to five PS3 machines, the online-only Warhawk doesn't have this feature. There's a warning in the game's description on the store that says it will only be playable through the PlayStation Network account that purchased the game, and only on one machine in any 24-hour period.

German gaming webstite Gamefront has posted an image of the latest Playstation Magazine issue, in which both Lair and Warhawk have been reviewed. Both games will be in stores at around August/September but Playstation Magazine does not seem very happy with both games, as the magazine rates Warhawk 6.5, and Lair even lower: 5.0.

In the image of the magazine, you can see that Lair is described as: "A one-trick dragon" and destroys it with a 5.0 rating. Warhawk on the other hand is described as: "A third-person shooter that never quite gets off the ground", and rates the game with only a 6.5. The image can been see below.
