PS3 UTIII gets its first mod

Action Cam provides Gears of War-style, over-the shoulder view

What is being labeled the very first third-party mod for Unreal Tournament III on PS3 has been released.

Action Cam carries this description: "Play from an over the shoulder view, like Gears of War or Mass Effect, and join the fight from an all new perspective. Action Cam is designed to offer better visibility, depth, and feedback to the player than the normal first person view, as well as create a more visceral experience when battling it out in the arena."

You can view the mod in operation in this movie and it's available to download here. This mod is also out for the PC version of Unreal Tournament III.

PS3-sepcific UTIII mod tools have been released to certain mod developers in beta form - hence the appearance of Action Cam. As reported last week, the 'full' version of the tools is expected this week.
