Uncharted 3 looks like it's on its way to be the biggest game in the series yet, putting up impressive sales numbers since it launched last month. In an interview with IndustryGamers, Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3, went into some details about the series' sales on the whole, and revealed that the Uncharted franchise has shipped over 13 million copies around the world, making it one of the more popular new IPs of this console generation. Renowned videogame voice actor Nolan North says Uncharteds Nathan Drake is his favourite character to play even going as far as to say theyre very much alike.

Screenrant: At Comic-Con 2011, we got a chance to catch-up with Nathan Fillion about the recently vacated starring role (and directors chair) for the Uncharted movie, and while the actor was forthcoming about his interest in the part, he made it clear that he didnt want to step on newly-signed director Neil Burgers shoes but also wasnt above trying Inception if itd help his chances: I am certainly still interested in playing Nathan Drake, he said. I think every actor I know wants their action-adventure hero, their Indiana Jones. That would be a good one for me, I think. What I dont want is people pressuring that poor man [director Neil Burger] and souring him on the actual idea. If we could somehow just do you remember the movie Inception? I think thats what we need to do. We need to let him land on the idea on his own.

Nolan North is one of the hardest-working voice actors in the business. His name pops up in the credits for all sorts of different games, but he is best known, deservedly, for his work as the voice Nathan Drake. Good writing and a healthy supply of wisecracks make it easy to fall in love with a character, but Drake is also very well acted, as fans of the Uncharted series will attest their affection for the fictional swashbuckling hero is accompanied by an affection for the man who brings his voice to life.
