The Uncharted series has sold over 13 million units globally

Uncharted 3 looks like it's on its way to be the biggest game in the series yet, putting up impressive sales numbers since it launched last month. In an interview with IndustryGamers, Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3, went into some details about the series' sales on the whole, and revealed that the Uncharted franchise has shipped over 13 million copies around the world, making it one of the more popular new IPs of this console generation. Man, that money could buy a lot of half-tucked shirts...

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception soundtrack now playing

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is epic, ergo listening to its soundtrack should - in theory - increase one's real life epicness by roughly 300%. Maybe. To be honest, we're still working out the nitty gritty science of it all, but for those who wish to experiment for themselves, Sony has just released the entire Uncharted 3 soundtrack on the PlayStation Store.

The album is currently selling for $9.99, and is also available for download on iTunes. It features the original score for Naughty Dog's sequel created by Greg Edmonson, a TV and film composer who won the award for Best Original Music award from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves...

Are we actually going to do this to ourselves again? Really? Are we actually going to get hopeful that the Uncharted movie might not turn into a lumbering, barely-recognisable, ultimately soul-saddening shambles because it's being restarted without previous Director David O. "They're a family of thieves! By the way, what's an Uncharted?" Russell?

Oh we are? Okay then, let's go.

According to Variety, Neil Burger is currently in talks to kickstart the film project, and we're probably looking at a new script, new cast, and new pretty much everything. Yeah, yeah, I know, Nathan Fillion, Nathan Fillion. Let's get the rest of the details out of the way so we can get on with being disappointed by the ultimate product, shall we?

It's time for you to learn a new word. The word is “hypercredible,” and it means “something so obvious that you have trouble believing it actually happened.” Case in point: the Uncharted movie. If David O. Russell had come out with the most amazing movie ever, you'd say, “that's incredible!” But if you were to hear that the famously contrary artist had taken his leave of the project citing creative differences, you'd conclude that it was so obvious he must be joking. “Creative differences?” Seriously?

Uncharted's Nolan North “will burn someone's house down” if the movie is bad
