The battle for earth rages on as Activision Publishing, Inc. has announced today that the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Character and Map Pack Plus is available now for download on Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 throughout Europe. The massive Downloadable Content (DLC) pack will include eleven playable characters, three all-new maps for online multi-player game modes, and a brand new Expert difficulty setting for the single-player campaigns.

Having already teased some of the new playable characters coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen via downloadable content, publisher Activision blew the lid off the whole shebang today with a wealth of details.

SCRAWL: Activision has announced today that Luxoflux has been hard at work developing downloadable content for the recently released movie-game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The downloadable content will launch later in the summer on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace, appealing to fans of both the original animated series of Transformers and fans of the film.

This mid-year update allows Plastic Wax to reveal 2009 collaborations that had been kept under wraps for months: the opening cinematic and unlockable cinematic for Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game, two different thirty-second television spots that mix live action and CG (which involved animating the classic Slimer character) for Atari's Ghostbusters, and the E3 2009 CG trailer to launch the new Relic/THQ title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Plastic Wax also has a number of unannounced videogame projects in the works, as well as a feature length film.

In an interview with the website gametrailers, Megan Fox, star of the new movie Transformers;Rise of the Fallen, states that the new game a step up from the last one. It includes new features such as voice overs and online gameplay.
