But that wasn’t funny enough. So, we dug deeper to find the most rabidly patriotic games every developed.
IGN Playstation 3 Game of the Month: August 2007 (News)

With all the videogames released each and every month, it can be a difficult task to decide on which title to spend your hard-earned money. Granted, you could always go by our review scores alone and weed through the long list of names to find something that scored high or low, but what if you had somewhere else to turn?

Rather than wait until the end of the year for our big award blowout, we've created this monthly tribute to the weeks that were. The entire PlayStation Team has come together so that we can tell our readers what we thought was the very best game for each system last month... and why. Though some of us often chime in with our comments at the end of reviews, for the most part, the reviews on IGN are primarily written by one editor. In this feature we had every editor on the channel vote for a single title. What better way to represent a team is there than to speak your collective minds?
Aug 20, 2007

After last year's disappointing and watered-down PS2 port of the first GRAW title, this is PlayStation's first proper look at Ubisoft's reinvigorated tactical shooter. An extension of the original Ghost Recon series, Advanced Warfighter is set a little further into the future - we're now shooting the happy residents of 2014 - and is more heavily focused on the sophisticated battle gear of tomorrow than the early titles. It's also a massive graphical leap over its predecessors, ...
However, the only version to technically fall in that window was the GRIN-developed PC version, which landed a scant four days before the summer solstice. The Xbox 360 version jumped the gun on the spring equinox by two weeks.

The newest issue of the British magazine EDGE is in stores as of today and its always interesting to see which games were reviewed and what scores they got. This month some interesting titles have been reviewed, such as: Blue Dragon, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Transformers and GRAW2 for the PS3.

Apparently EDGE didn't really like Transformers and Hour of Victory as both games got 2/10 from EDGE. The British don't really like Blue Dragon and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 as well as both games 'only' got 6/10. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass did really well as it scored 9/10. Check out all of this months reviewscores below.

Featuring dozens of games from Sony and third-party publishers, several of which were unveiled and/or made playable for the first time, the event was a staggering look at a swarm ...
Just as the original Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on PC received an almost total redesign in the step from Xbox 360, so will GRAW2 be boosted with super-tactical features.

As the video below shows, you'll be able to pick your insertion point for each mission, then directly command your troops from the tactical map, for clean terrorist mop-ups.

It's so different, in fact, that it's almost worth 360 gamers with PCs hunting it out, especially with the brand new PC-exclusive multiplayer mode, ...
In the world of console shooters, two player co-op is sooo 2001. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2's sixteen player missions rewrite the book on cooperative gameplay. Remember, we're talking about the console world here, so PC geeks should STFU and go back to playing Battlefield. Still with us? Good. Here's the intel on GRAW 2 's co-op ...
How much more advanced can an Advanced Warfighter really get in one year? That's the question we've been asking ourselves ever since Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was announced for release in March 2007 on Xbox 360, PC and PSP (as well as on PS3 in June). How much better or different could the sequel possibly be with so little time between it and the original?

The single player campaign ended up surprising us with niftily updated gadgets and gripping level design, but the ...
Though we and everyone else kinda saw it coming, publisher Ubisoft announced today that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is getting a sequel. It is scheduled to hit shelves in Spring 2007 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and PSP.
