Sony has confirmed that two PS3 games, The Getaway and 8 Days, have been canned. "It has been agreed that production of both 8 Days and The Getaway will cease immediately due to the redistribution of resources and budget," said Sony in an official statement.

We've heard nothing on The Getaway 3 since 2006's Game Developer Conference. And two years with no news usually means a canned game, but Sony has broken its silence just in time.
