The downloadable content expansion for Eye of Judgment was originally scheduled for release in the US on Thursday, 3/27/08. Sometime this year, Sony will release the Eye of Judgment: Complete Disk in Japan for an undisclosed price. The Complete Disk contains 300 cards. Each card set includes 100 cards, so the Complete Disk includes three card sets. Sony has released only two sets so far. It isn't clear if Complete Disk is a box with 300 cards or, more likely, just a CD/DVD/Blu-ray with data.

The Japanese website has been updated with new images, focusing on the new creatures and monsters from the upcoming Wave 2 booster packs. That's a change from the original February release date. This is the second entry in THE EYE OF JUDGMENT series. A third expansion pack in the series will be available this summer.

SCEE confirms slew of PS3 release dates (News)

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed a selection of release dates for a number of forthcoming PlayStation 3 titles, including the likes of the highly anticipated Lair and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

First up for release, as confirmed last week, is The Eye of Judgment this Friday (October 26), followed by Factor 5's Lair and Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction on November 9.

Finally, December sees Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune arriving on December 9, with the elusive SingStar PS3 pencilled for release for some time that month, though an exact date has yet to be revealed.

EDGE slams Eye of Judgement, Folklore; praises Orange Box (News)

In this months' issue games like Ratched and Clank, Orange Box, Eye of Judgement, Ace Combat 6 and Folklore all got reviewed and not all games did well. Orange Box received a perfect 10/10, wile Ratched and Clank and Ace Combat 6 both scored 8/10 scores.

The Playstation 3 exclusives Eye of Judgement and Folklore, however, didn't do very well which scored a 4/10 and a 5/10 respectively. Clive Barkers: Jericho didn't do very well either with a 5/10 score. Check out all this months' review scores below.

Today Sony announced The Eye of Judgment, its fantasy card game that makes use of the PlayStation Eye, has shipped to retail outlets. Developed with the input of Wizards of the Coast, makers of Magic: The Gathering, Judgment allows players to combat opponents around the world through the PlayStation Network.

"Wizards of the Coast brings experience and credibility to the table as the market leader in the collectable card game industry," said Jeff Reese, director, software marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. Sony released the final box art for their new card-based game, The Eye of Judgment.

Loot Ninja got a chance to play the game a bit at Digital Life and it works very well. The game utilizes the PlayStation Eye to read cards put onto the gaming board. Depending on where and which direction you place the card determines the actions taken. The graphics and video grabbed by the PlayStation Eye are both overlayed on the screen, which surprisingly works very well. Where they see an issue with the game is online play.

This is merely a frivolous complaint -- but one PS3Fanboy had to voice! The Eye of Judgment pack, which includes the Eye camera will come in those annoying plastic sealed packages. You know, the ones that require scissors to open? They've nearly lost a finger (or two) trying to open these, and it's sad to see that in order to get their hands on Sony's upcoming card game, they'll have to risk yet another appendage. User Shin-Ra at the PS3Forums has stumbled upon the entire package of the upcoming PlayStation Eye game, Eye of Judgment. Now sporting the subtitle Biolith Rebellion, the set comes with the PS-Eye, stand, card mat and starter deck all in addition to the game itself. While you might be thinking "wow, that's a lot of stuff ... it's probably really expensive," you'd be surprised to learn that the cost for all of this is only around 10,000 yen. If you translate that into US dollars, it's around $80.

At the Nordic Game conference in Sweden last week, LocoRoco creator Tsutomu Kouno expressed indifference on motion sensing controllers. When asked on potentially creating a title for the Wii, he "didn't have much interest." Kouno-san seemed far more impressed with the technological possibilities of a peripheral like the PlayStation Eye, conjuring its controller possibilities. Harkening Minority Report similarities, he imagines playing a game "using hands, without even touching the controller."

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Eye peripheral is due for release in Europe this summer.

The PlayStation Eye is the next-generation version of the the popular EyeToy camera, and features a range of improvements including microphone, two lens positions and a faster frame rate for smoother image capturing.

As well as enabling users to capture photos and video footage the package will also include EyeCreate editing software.

New information about the upcoming game Eye of Judgement for the PS3 has arisen...

It comes out this fall, bundled in with the playing board, a selection of cards and the Playstation Eye3 Camera. Price not yet released.

Hasbro will be providing the cards and will be lending their expertise to SCE.

THE EYE OF JUDGMENT presents a new style of gameplay where the player brings creatures of trading cards to life for battle in 3D. Through use of a 3 x 3 board and trading cards, each encrypted with CyberCode, players conquer the field by selecting a card and placing the coded card in front of the PLAYSTATION(R)Eye for their respective creatures to come to life and battle. Each creature has various skills which will determine the outcome of the battle. Players take turns placing cards as they jostle for control of the board; the winner is the first player to conquer five of the nine fields.

The next generation of Sony EyeToy has been provisionally dated as having a release of 'Summer' in Europe. Possibly to coincide with the release of the PlayStation 3 version of Singstar which will make use of many of its features.
