Chuck Lacson over at the PlayStation Blog writes, "EOJ Fans - As you may have discovered already, the wait is finally over. Set 3 is slated for an October 16th release on PSN giving players not just 100 new cards, but more gameplay options and features that will change the way EOJ is played.

PLAYSTATION 3 gamers in the US missed out on the Eye of Judgment Wave 2 downloadable content that was originally scheduled to be released today, due to distribution delays of the Wave 2 cards. The delay was announced last week. The good news is the first signs of the cards coming to retail have popped up on Hasbro.com's website. See a listing and pictures of the decks here.

The downloadable content expansion for Eye of Judgment was originally scheduled for release in the US on Thursday, 3/27/08. It's almost like we were anticipating another deal by naming one "morning" and this one "day". We'll keep it quick so we can get this knowledge out to you ASAP. A lot of people have been on the edge of a fence when it comes to getting Eye of Judgment -- the big pack with the PlayStation Eye, a starter deck, and an extra pack of cards with the retail game. It was about $70, which turned a lot of people off since there was the whole collecting cards thing to worry about.

Sometime this year, Sony will release the Eye of Judgment: Complete Disk in Japan for an undisclosed price. The Complete Disk contains 300 cards. Each card set includes 100 cards, so the Complete Disk includes three card sets. Sony has released only two sets so far. It isn't clear if Complete Disk is a box with 300 cards or, more likely, just a CD/DVD/Blu-ray with data.
