Sega's The Club and upcoming Keanu Reeves movie Street Kings share almost identical imagery.
CVG reader 'socheeky' spotted a movie poster for the flick coming out in the US this April "with Keanu Reeves, several rappers and Hugh Laurie". As you can see from a quick bit of photoshop trickery, they look pretty much the same.

SEGA announced today that The Club for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC has officially gone gold and will hit stores in North America on February 19, 2008.
Playable demos of The Club are currently available for download via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. An all-new PC demo will be released soon.
The Club carries a suggested retail price of $59.99 and is rated "M" for "Mature."

The Club
Developed by Bizarre Creations, The Club is a fast paced 3rd person shooter, pitting serial killers and trained assassins against each other for sport and gambling.
For those of you excited for the title, Sega revealed today all of the multiplayer modes that will be available when the game launches in February.
The eight multiplayer modes include:
Kill Match: This is a tried and tested death-match mode. The player with the most kills at the end of the gamer is the winner.
Score Match: This is a points based death match where players rack up points for kills using the same scoring mechanism which is used in the single player game. As with the single player game, the key to big scores is to combine kills into combos.
Hunted Killer: When the game begins the first player to make a kill becomes the Hunted. While hunted, a player's score ticks up constantly. Only one player can be the hunted, and if a Hunter player manages to kill the hunted, the hunted status will pass over to the killer. Becoming the hunted and surviving for as long as possible is the only way to score. The hunters are equipped with radar which shows where the hunted player is all the time. The hunted player does not have a scanner so he must keep on his toes to avoid his pursuers.
Team Kill Match: This is a regular team kill match. The team who scores the highest by killing their opponents will win.
Team Fox Hunt: In Team Fox Hunt one player on each team is assigned as the Fox. The objective is to hunt and kill the enemy team's Fox without them doing the same to yours. All players begin with the same amount of health however the fox player can use health packs dotted around the level to bring his health up to a maximum of 400%.
Team Capture: in this game mode, both teams have a base objective. The aim of the game mode is to capture the enemies' bas objective while defending your own. Bases are captur...

360 and non-UK PS3 owners will soon be able to download the demo of The Club, developer Bizarre Creations has announced.
Although no specific release date was mentioned, Bizarre Creations community and web lead Ben Ward told the Bizarre Creations forum, "The Xbox 360 demo will be coming very soon. It's a staggered launch for all of the regions, and we're currently waiting on SEGA to confirm the exact dates. Same goes for all other PS3 regions outside of the UK. Will let you all know as soon as we do."

There's no American PSN update for today, unfortunately, so we'll have to rely on Sony Europe to deliver some nice Christmas goodies for us; which they have. Not a lot, by any means, but we certainly used to dream of the days when we'd get three demos a week. Here's the full release list:

The Club
The official website for The Club, Sega and Bizarre's upcoming action-shooter, has gone live. Like any good club with a bouncer, entrance is restricted to those over 18 years of age (or those incapable of forgery using the drop-down menu). The site, as usual, offers detailed information and media from the coming game. It also lists the characters that will be present.
The Club is set for release early next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be the first action title from an otherwise racing-dependent studio.

Bizarre Creations' The Club has been given a firm release date of February 8, 2008, on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Sega has sent out a new release schedule with a little bit of bad news that those looking forward to the upcoming release of The Club will have to wait until next year.
Tagged to the foot of Sega's most recent release schedule is: "Please note that The Club from Bizarre Creations is now to release on X360, PS3 and PC in early 2008."
We can't help but wonder if finishing up work on PGR4 for Microsoft may have demanded a little more attention than was originally though...

Much-anticipated Sega title The Club will miss the Christmas release window, after the publisher admitted that its release has slipped until next year.
The 360, PS3 and PC action title, which was developed by Project Gotham creators Bizarre Creations, was previously due for release at the end of this year.
