In one of the largest EVO tournaments ever, yesterday's grand finals saw new champions for every game, most notably Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, where reigning champ Daigo "The Beast" Umehara was sent to loser's bracket in spectacular fashion by Korean newcomer Poongko. Poongko's almost telepathic Seth completely dominated Daigo's Yun, dizzying him multiple times, and much to the crowd's elation, scoring an unheard of Perfect on The Beast himself. Poongko also started the match off with a bang, ripping his shirt off and chugging a Red Bull to amp the crowd up.

The Tekken series is getting the CGI cinematic treatment. During Namco Bandai's Level Up conference in Dubai, the studio graced its audience with a trailer for Tekken: Blood Vengeance, a 3D animated film featuring demure schoolgirls, deadly mechs, flying pandas and a whack of Tekken characters engaged in balls-to-wall death matches. True, we really have no idea what the hell this movie is about, but damned if doesn't look badass...

Namco Bandai has just released the Tekken 6 Arcade soundtrack on iTunes for $5.99 along with the 32-track Tekken 2 soundtrack for $7.99. The arcade soundtrack acts mainly as a teaser, as the full console-based soundtrack features a full 3-discs of music and will be released this month in Japan.
