European PS3 fans are still no closer to knowing when they'll be able to play stupendous downloadable fighting game Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix after both Capcom and Sony were today unable to offer any update on the game's release.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix developer Backbone and redrawn art overseers Udon were "worried" that Capcom might cancel the game during the early part of its troubled development, lead designer David Sirlin has revealed.

As time dragged by it seemed more likely that Street Fighter 4 would come out before Street Fighter 2 HD Remix. Well now the game is finally finished and awaiting approval from PSN and Xbox Live. November is the target month for Street Fighter 2 HD Remix but it could take longer for either PSN or XBLA to give it the go ahead. There maybe be a delay in release date like Mega Man 9 had. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is an enhanced remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo featuring hand-drawn high definition graphics. Pricing for the downloadable game has not been announced.
Developed by Foundation 9's Backbone Entertainment, Turbo HD Remix features a new soundtrack, rebalanced gameplay, online multiplayer, and 1080p visuals completely redrawn by Udon Comics. In a nod to purists, Capcom is also giving players the option of playing with the arcade edition's graphics, sound, and game balance.
