Street Fighter IV

With nary a problem to be found, Street Fighter IV is the definition of perfection within the genre. New characters fit in perfectly with those of old and there is oh so much depth to this brawlfest of a game. Not to mention the art style is magnificent.

If you are interested in an alternative to SF or Tekken, then can I recommend BlazBlue. A surprising package. Here is a load of people in gamerbase centres enjoying the latest BlazBlue tournament http://www.gamerbase.com/?a=post&id=62341 or http://www.neoempire.com/?p=3273 and fan YouTube vids from the practice sessions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Yxp-rdFGJw.

Here’s what Shadow2bolt said about the Reading regional Rebellion Tournament: Semi Finals Losers bracket. Once again, I get to play Cosmicolor again. Seems like he had improved... or I got worse; but he did start stealing a couple of my tricks like IAD j.D.. Anyway, the winner of this gets to play Tim (Tim119) in the Finals. Unfortunately! And Grand finals... Once again, I face the scary guy. Both of us gets to go to Rebellion at Gamerbase Manchester for free. Winner of this gets a box of Roses Chocolates while second place gets Creme Egged. More prizes (including arcade sticks, signed art, consoles and a gigantic TV) will be at Rebellion which is on 24/04/2010. Meanwhile in Manchester. Kaworu who won the winners bracket only has to win one set (a set if best of 3 games), whereas JayLab from losers bracket has to win 2 sets in the final http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMj634yIVN4 .

It’s tough being Capcom. There are fanboys of every stripe in the gaming world, but rarely are there more rabid and stubborn fans than those of fighting games. Die-hards analyze every frame and gameplay change down to its core, and they petition endlessly for their favorite obscure character to be included in every game Capcom releases. » Read Full Street Fighter IV preview
Street Fighter IV – arcade review
Quick, hide Soul Calibur! Daddy's back... and he's VERY ANGRY!
Nov 19, 2008
When the last ‘proper’ Street Fighter came out, almost 10 years ago, it’s safe to say that the fighters had lost much of their appeal and the fanbase they enjoyed during their heyday of the early ’90s. Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike didn’t exactly make much of an impact, with old favorites Ryu and Ken joining a bunch of weirdos and misfits many people couldn’t care less about. » Read Full Street Fighter IV preview

Street Fighter IV - hands-on and new details
Portly Rufus dubbed "the American Dan," amazing new trailer
Jun 03, 2008
There's not a lot left to say about Street Fighter IV. After talking to Capcom's SF master, detailing 12 tiny nuances we love and comparing classic combos to their SFIV counterparts, we're at a loss for words. Well, we were until the latest character, Rufus, was announced and we couldn't take our eyes off his pulsating belly. It's hypnotically disgusting, trust us. » Read Full Street Fighter IV preview

Jun 02, 2008
Last week Capcom revealed one of its strongest lineups in ages during the Captivate 08 event (we briefly talked about it on TalkRadar). The embargos have lifted and now we're able to say what we saw, what we played and what totally stole the show (it surprised the hell out of us, that's for sure). We'll be adding links throughout the day, so read on! » Read Full Street Fighter IV preview

Yes, that's your chin that's twelve feet off the ground and that's our chunky fist propping it up. Sho-ryu-ken! You know what Street Fighter's all about, from the first baby steps mashing the SNES pad to the intricate magic of SF III's parry system - it's all about knocking people out of their socks. And Street Fighter IV is going to knock a hell of a lot of socks off. Oh yes. It's taken Capcom a long time to come to SFIV (a good 10 years since » Read Full Street Fighter IV preview
