PS3 News from N4G | Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
PS3 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - No retroactive Trophies for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Speaking to VideoGamer.com during a recent presentation of the game, associate producer Brian Morrison said that the publisher has "no plans" to introduce PS3 Trophies after the game's release, unlike some publishers who have added Trophy support retroactively to their games.

Morrison also confirmed that there won't be any downloadable content or a demo made available for the game.

He said: "There are no Trophies in the PS3 because during our development cycle the SDK for the Trophies came in late from Sony and we didn't want to chuck them in at the last minute without a lot of thought going into them. So the team was more confident just focusing on the Achievement side for the 360 which we planned for all along."

He added: "I think going forward Trophies will be a big part of the future of a lot of games Activision is delivering on now that we're in development further."

PS3 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Producer Interview (Video) Last week we got the chance to sit down and talk with the head-hauncho over at Shaba Games about the upcoming action/adventure game Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. During the interview Chris Scholz discussed a bunch of different aspects of his new Spidey game and what will help it stand out from the crowded market of mediocre superhero titles to hit store shelves recently.

We were also surprised to find out the most difficult part of creating a game based around the "web slinger" is actually the camera system, not the graphics or story line. Anyhow check out the full interview below (with trailer) and stay tuned right here to PlanetXbox360 for a hands-on preview of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows very soon; the game hits store shelves on October 21, 2008.

PS3 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - Spiderman Web of Shadows Box Art Decided The votes have been tallied, and to [Fahey's] great surprise and dismay, the Spider-Man: Web of Shadows box art has been chosen by the fans themselves, and they chose...poorly. The choices were either Spider-Man holding a dome-less snow globe or Spider-Man with concept art for arms.

PS3 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows lets you choose a Black Cat model TVGB: "The new Spider-Man game, Web of Shadows, is all about seizing control¿or we guess it's all about seizing control since the website for the game is SeizeControl.com. Really, we don't know that much about it yet other than the info we gleaned from our interview on the game and the whole seizing control theme. To uphold this theme the good people at Activision are letting the fans make many decisions on how the marketing for the product will go."

PS3 News | Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Spider-Man fans will have the option of being the traditional good-guy web-slinger or operate on the supervillain side of the fence in new Spidey game Web of Shadows, judging by first details. PS3 News from N4G | Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
PS3 - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows teaser and info Activision announced today that Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is currently in the works from Shaba Games and Treyarch for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC. Although it wasn't ready to say too much about the action-adventure game, Activision did tell us that Web of Shadows will be set in a free-roaming, open-ended New York that combines web slinging with customizable superpowers. There will be the traditional combo attacks on the ground, but the game will also feature a brand new emphasis on vertical combat as gamers take Spidey to the skies and duke it out with bad guys.

However, it might not just be foes who are getting socked in the jaw. According to Activision, Spider-Man's latest adventure will let players choose how they want to play -- if folks want to be the friendly neighborhood superhero, they can, but they can also ignore missions and be the anti-hero who is only looking out for himself. Marvel heroes and villains will pop up in the adventure, and gamers will have the ability to change sides as they see fit.

Activision is keeping its lips sealed about what Spider-Man is up against in the new game but we know it's a threat to the entire world and that it can do some real damage to New York. From the one screenshot and teaser trailer, it looks like Spidey's up against a number of villains who can redecorate buildings and create giant oozing black tendrils. The black gunk and the alien-looking dudes crawling on the side of the building in the teaser makes us think symbiote, but there's no way to know what's going on at this point.
