Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, and Uncharted 2 made 2009 a year of epic sequels. Too bad none of the studios in this feature will be releasing any sequels, ever… at least not in their original forms. 2009, like 2008, was a rough economic year, and lead to the demise of multiple influential and promising developers.

Perhaps no other entertainment industry contains venomous fans arguing over the content of multiple versions of a solitary product.  And for good reason - games are made to be ported over to multiple consoles in order to recoup staggering losses of cash. Each console has its own strengths and its own failings. That’s why we see a frame rate glitch here or a severely neutered feature there.

To get you in the swing of things for the upcoming release of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows we've devised a competition to stimulate your creative mojos. There's an Xbox 360 and HDTV for the winner. You're going to love it. It's fun

Another year, another Spider-Man game. After so many ups and downs in the web-slinging series, should gamers even care anymore? To find out, we asked one of the guys behind Spider-Man’s latest outing, Web of Shadows. We asked what his team was doing differently, and hopefully better, this time around. With such a massive cast of heroes and villains already announced, we asked how they planned to stay faithful to everyone and everything.
