Soldier of Fortune to be resurrected?

Rumor is circulating that Activision's ultra-violent Soldier of Fortune FPS series is set to make a comeback on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

According to Worthplaying, Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back is currently penciled in for a November release.

E3 is being eyed for an official announcement on the sequel.

Activision was unavailable for comment on the rumor at the time of writing, so we'll just have to wait and see.

It's been a good few years since the last Soldier of Fortune game, Double Helix. The series was notorious for employing the GHOUL technology that allowed players to blow the limbs off enemies. Think what they could do with today's hardware...
