Fans eagerly awaiting for SOCOM: Confrontation's already-delayed-as-it-is release in Europe next month may get burned even more. Now, reports are coming in that UK retailer GAME is sending out emails about a delay.

Eurogamer writes: "Sony has told Eurogamer that SOCOM Confrontation has still to be given a European date, despite the US version launching as long ago as October.
The official SOCOM site has revealed that the 1.30 update has been approved and should have gone live at around 10am this morning.
Seth Luisi writes "The news you have all been waiting for. The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.30 update has been approved and will be released tomorrow, January 9th, at about 5am EST (2am PST, 1000 UTC/GMT, 1900 JST/KST). The SOCOM: Confrontation server will be down for 1 to 2 hours at that time in order to update the server for the new update. Everything should be back up and running at about 7am EST (4am PST, 1200 UTC/GMT, 2100 JST/KST).
According to a Sony Europe PSN release schedule obtained by videogaming247.com, SOCOM Confrontation will be available to download from PlayStation Network on the 5th of February.

Today, I'm going to give you a sneak peak of the new dive to prone character move. The dive to prone has been enhanced significantly in the SOCOM: Confrontation 1.30 update and is now very similar to previous SOCOM games. The dive to prone is much quicker and you carry momentum forward. It is much easier to quickly get into a good prone position or dive for the deck.

RUMOR: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe communicates to Arena 51 that the release of SOCOM: Confrontation has been moved. The tactical shooterhas been delayed from 28 November to the first quarter of 2009 its debut makes on Blu-ray and the PlayStation Network.
Slant Six has come out and directly addressed the lack of a join from friend/Clan list feature in SOCOM: Confrontation by pointing out the feature was never supposed to be part of the game. While true, they have said they would like to add it but "no promises" and no time-line.

SOCOM: Confrontation is going to finally be getting some trophy action with the next update. The 1.30 update (or patch if you are a PC kind of guy) will also include some things you may find good or bad. Among them is Dive to Prone, or as it's more commonly known, dolphin diving.
