After being released to critical despair, major network issues, and gamer distaste, Socom Confrontation still lives. Now that it's had a load of updates, corrections, and patches, it's finally playable, and coming up on it's one year birthday, Socom Confrontations is getting it's first taste of DLC in the form of the Cold Fronts Map pack.
Finally after almost a year of waiting, The Socom Confrontation DLC has been announced. The DLC will include two new maps, three classic Socom maps, and new weapons.
Developers Slant Six Games, are fixing some server side issues. Possibly preparing the servers for the deployment of patch 1.60 which was promised back in the summer.
After almost a year of waiting SlantSix developers finally were able to provide its consumers with what they promised on the Socom Confrontation Box art. The long awaited 1.5 patch released August 25, implemented a few new features including tournaments and calenders. Many players were not aware how exactly the huge tournament feature worked. Well here to inform us is none other then SCEA senior producer Mark Rogers.

Slant 6 revealed a few days ago that patch 1.5 is coming soon for SOCOM: Confrontation. We know. The game has been out for many, many, months and it's still being patched in an attempt to make it worthy of being shipped to begin with.

Slant Six has just applied the finishing touches to the SOCOM website. The website has left the beta stages, with a few cool new community features to boot. Confrontation players can now check detailed player rankings, featured players, the latest videos and screens, as well as an online map in the form of a world globe that highlights active players around the planet.
