Nov 14, 2007 With its revolutionary Flick-it controls, huge open world, endless trick permutations and realistic over-the-shoulder visuals, Skate shatters Tony Hawk's vice-like grip on the genre. Skate's fictional city of San Vanelona is ripe for grinds, gaps and complex combos, but the locations (or "spots") listed here offer the maximum potential for points. Aug 22 2007 Skate is easily one of our favourite games of the year. Will the game be predominantly a solo experience? Balmer: Skating is not a team ... » Read More

Cast your eyes over San Vanelona - SKATEs fictional, open-world city that captures the best elements of San Francisco, Vancouver, Barcelona, the Hoover Dam and New Yorks financial district. An ultimate playground. 1) City district NY and LAs real-life financial districts are packed with hand rails, smooth marble ledges, rolling banks and absurd skateable sculptures - plus high security. 2) Mini-suburbia Porches, miles of curb and lines of parked cars? Were thinking that this is where SKATE ... » Read More
