PS3 - Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network - PS Blog: SIREN: Blood Curse Tips Straight From the Producer Playstation.Blog writes: "Hey PlayStation bloggers! I hope you are enjoying the authentic Japanese horror of SIREN: Blood Curse. It is the first survival horror game available on the PS3, and is available exclusively on PLAYSTATION Network.

By now, I'm guessing some of you must have beaten the game already. If you have, that's great! If you haven't beat it yet, you've come to the right place! I have something for those who might be stuck or are having trouble getting through certain parts you might find helpful in getting past those tricky "Shibito" (zombie-like undead people). And if you haven't tried the game yet, there's a great demo of it on PSN as well."

PS3 News from N4G | Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network
PS3 - Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network - Siren: Blood Curse rises today Tsubasa Inaba, of SCEA Santa Monica writes: "The first survival horror game available on the PS3 is coming to the PLAYSTATION Store today! We have worked on this for many a month now, and cannot express enough how anxious we are to hear what you think when you finally get to play this game!

Let me give you just a little bit of background information to get you familiar with the story, in case you haven't seen the trailers or tried the demo yet (there's one embedded below)."
---
"And yes… Let's talk about pricing and how the product will be released.

So, how do you pick up Siren: Blood Curse? Very easy. Just head to the PLAYSTATION Store on your PS3 and go to the Siren category page. There should be banners up, and it should also be found in the "new releases" section. Now, the game is split into 12 easily digestible chunks, like episodes of a TV series. You'll be able to purchase the game in three separate packs, consisting of 4 episodes each. These will run at $14.99 per 4-episode bundle. Or, right off the bat, you can purchase the full game for a nice discount at only $39.99. This is all available only through the PS Store. Remember, this is a full-length game, much larger in scale than most of the downloadable games available on the store. It's on par with full-scale Blu-ray disc releases, and is all part of our effort to expand our selection of game content on the store."

PS3 News from N4G | Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network
PS3 - Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network - Siren: Blood Curse Priced and Dated Sony Europe is announcing that Siren: Blood Curse has received a release date and a price. The episodic content game represents the reinvention of a successful PlayStation 2 survival horror title for the PlayStation 3.

Because of the episodic nature of the game, it will be split up into four chapters, each consisting of three distinct episodes. The first will be available for download from the PlayStation Store on July 24 and will cost 9.99 dollars. Each of the other three chapters will be similarly priced while the full game can be yours for 39.99 dollars.

In the previous games in the series players had to confront a being known as the Datatsushi which entered the physical realm and turned the residents of a village into zombie-like creatures. The aim of the Datasushi was to get them to build a physical body that would allow it to control the world, although the game ended with the non-corporeal being banished from the physical realm. Now the village will again witness a confrontation between good and evil.

PS3 News from N4G | Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network
PS3 - Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 Network - New Details on Sony's PS3 Horror Game Siren: New Translation (Blood Curse) New game system and character descriptions translated directly from the 5/19 Famitsu.com article:

-Those that weaved the nightmare:
The "Siren" series has always been based on various Japanese cultures and folklores. The base concept for this new game is "looking in from a different cultural perspective", with new characters giving the first game of the series a new translation. This is a introduction to two of those new characters that will appear in the game.

Prologue:
August 3, 2007. An American television crew has suddenly lost contact while covering their story in the deep mountains of Japan. The well-beings of the missing crew are still unknown. Up until the crew completely lost their contact, they were reporting on "found traces of human sacrifice" in the remains of a village which supposedly was wiped out by a land-slide in 1976. The name of that village was Hanyuda...

A bull-headed cultural anthropologist Sam Monroe:
A cultural anthropologist who works at an easy job at a third rate university. His stubborn personality always gets him into trouble by being perverse on his own believes and understanding of things. Having both family and financial troubles, Sam joined the TV crew out of desperation in exchange for a particular unknown condition. This caused Sam to be involved in the strange incident that happened in Hanyuda Village.

Cable TV Reporter Melissa Gale:
An American cable TV reporter. Divorced with Sam Monroe a few years ago. Melissa is troubled by the dilemma of her passion for work and the love for her daughter who lives apart from her. While reporting from the remains of Hanyuda Village, she is also one of the witnesses to the strange incident.

-Staying alive by using two modes of the "New Sight-Jack":
Changes made in the "New Translation" are not just the main characters' looks and stories. The serie...
