SEGA® of America, Inc. today shipped SEGA Superstars Tennis to stores in North America. Featuring several of the most recognized SEGA video game characters smashing it up on the most outrageously designed tennis environments, SEGA Superstars Tennis is now available on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, the Wii home video game system and Nintendo DS.
SEGA is currently targeting 28th March for the release of Condemned 2: Bloodshot on PS3 and 360, and has also updated dates for Samba de Amigo on Wii and others.
Videogamer reports that SEGA has moved the release of its IP packed tennis title forward by a week, meaning the title will now be in stores on March 20, in time for the Easter Holiday weekend.
Nearly a decade after the release of Mario Tennis, SEGA is stepping up to the baseline to take a crack at the world of tennis with SEGA Superstars Tennis. Essentially it packs every notable SEGA character into a tennis competition, complete with character-specific superpowers and levels. IGN got the lowdown on each of the eight characters that are unlocked from the word "go" with the remaining eight characters coming tomorrow.
Sega has unleashed the official website for the European release of Sega Superstars Tennis, which is to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS and PS2.
