Developer FluffyLogic has put together a hints, tips and help document about the new downloadable content for their popular tower defence game, Savage Moon.

Waldgeist was made available for download from the PlayStation Store at the beginning of the month for €3.99 but gamers soon reported that the DLC was causing some issues with the game.

FlufflyLogic has since confirmed that they "did a fix for this a few days ago and no new cases have come to light, so [they] are now confident that the issue is resolved for all new purchases of Waldgeist."
The aim of the game is really incredibly simple: players must prevent waves of bugs from destroying their vulnerable moon base by building automatic weapons defenses around the map. ...

"Hello readers! This is Ana (the producer) and Tomas (the designer) from FluffyLogic. We're a digital media development studio based in Bristol, UK. The home of trip-hop, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and John Cabot who set sail and discovered America in 1497 (Though I don't think the Native Americans had reported it lost…) bubum…

For the last few months we've been hard at work on our take on the Tower Defense genre. Although here in the UK we spell it 'defence' ;-). If you've not played any tower defence games, you're missing out. They are a great off-shoot of real-time strategy games where the player can only build static defences and the enemy is the one on the move. Our art director, Stuart, introduced us to a few of the games on the net and needless to say, work around the office dropped to zero as we got hooked. At the time we had been given a couple of PS3 development kits by Sony to play around with and we thought, "Wow, we'd love to do our own take on this." We threw around a few ideas then went up to see Sony and surprisingly enough, it turned out that they had been thinking exactly the same thing. Thus Savage Moon, our first game for the PS3, was born. It is due for release on the PlayStation Network store this week for $9.99…we're very excited."
I just wanted to let you know that the game will be coming out within the next couple of weeks! We are in the process of finalizing Savage Moon and making significant strides to ensure that we deliver one of the most action-packed tower-defense games on PSN. Available on the PlayStation Network for just $9.99, Savage Moon is perfect for anyone in to sci-fi strategic and fast-paced games. In Savage Moon, players are tasked to defend mining facilities from Insectocyte monsters by building towers in strategic locations while using a massive array of weapons to fend off waves of increasingly tough enemies. Killing Insectocytes will earn you funds that can be used to build, upgrade or research new weapons to strengthen your defenses."
Today's update brings two full games, three demos, the normal extreme amounts of music-based DLC and, of course, the LittleBigPlanet Metal Gear Solid pack. There are also a bunch of price drops on some excellent PSN games (though, is it just us or has WipEout HD always been that price..?). Savage Moon is great fun, particularly if you're a tower defense fan.
You should have entered your annual leave period so the timing is perfect, so be sure to stock up on all the essential beverages and prepare to bunker in. To tide you over until the full game is available you can download the video trailer from the PSN store. For the bandwidth constrained amongst us, it weighs in at a whopping 52MB, but it is worth every eye popping pixel.
