We've never actually thought about it before, but urban gangster games always feature males as lead characters.

But the good news for all you girlfriends, mothers and little sisters out there who like to punch the odd virtual granny and do virtual drive-bys is that Saints Row 2 will let you take control of a bad-ass female.

You won't look as scary, and you'll feel less like Dr Dre. But that's okay because at least the massively extended character customisation options will let you give your character that gangster-lean walk thing.
