Nov 19, 2007 "No f&#*ing way am I wearing that." That was the initial reaction by many gamers when they saw the little plastic guitar that powered the original Guitar Hero. My, how times have changed. In Rock Band - the new multiplayer spin from the original GH creators, Harmonix - not only do you eagerly want to grab a fake plastic guitar, but you won't have to look far to find three other people just as willing to step up to grab a fake plastic bass, fake plastic drums and a fake plastic ...

Better than Guitar Hero? It's possible
Jul 11, 2007
Guitar Hero opened up the dream of being in a band to everyone. But it didn't open up the band - just the guitar bits. What of the lead singer? The drummer? The bassist? Well, that's the premise behind Rock Band: play everything. Together. And our turn with the game has proven that it works ...   » Read Full Rock Band preview

Are you ready to rock?
Jun 29, 2007
So you wanna be a rock superstar? Live large? Big house? Five cars? Rent charged? We all do, buddy. From emo kids who havent so much as picked up an instrument since they were forced to learn the recorder in school to desperate wannabes still kicking a beaten-up old van all over the country just waiting for the big break, thats always two steps ahead of them, more or less everyone has at some point dreamed of making it big. The Guitar Hero developer, Harmonix, may not be offering you the ...   » Read Full Rock Band preview

wat i cant stand a bout this (and guitarhero) is that, as a REAL musician, i am not really doing anything. On actual drums, which i hav been playing years before rock band, i have much more fun playing these songs than in the game. the game itself is not horrible and i admit sometimes fun

but people who beleive they are getting something musiclly out of this game. especially for drummers, there is more competition between the drummers that are good and REAL, and the ones that think they can drum and have never been behind an actual drum set. some people are spending too much time at a TV/Computer screen and their brains hav turned to mush.

thank you for listening

maybe some people can read this and go out and learn a real instrument and create some real music. bring back the rock of the 90'S!
