MLB 12: The Show is up for another round at bat. After years of domination and helping to cement the PS3 as the platform for baseball fans, is the series still the top choice?
Finally, baseball for the masses! A few key adjustments make The Show the most accessible version ever...
Spring Training's in full swing. And with the beginning of every season comes new baseball. Can MLB 2K12 replicate a day at the ballpark? Find out more...
Modern Combat: Domination’s actual value is somewhat difficult to quantify. The game is basically a budget Call of Duty clone and considering that the gaming market is already drowning in first-person shooters, it really begs the question: why the hell do we need another Call of Duty clone? While MCD sells at an incredibly affordable $7.99 (seriously, you can find food items at your local Taco Bell that are more expensive than this game), the title is simply a hodgepodge of game designs from other, better shooters...
After years of having to deal with petulant games journalists, vocal forum members and an increasingly fussy buying public, we’re not surprised that more and more developers are turning to us and saying “Fine! You don’t like what we’ve done? Why don’t you do it yourself, then?” After all, if we are given the responsibility of creating the game, we’re going to make ours absolutely perfect, right?
A hefty price tag for Monster Madness might just as well be a toe-tag in a morgue, because this top-down shooter is too basic by far. This certainly isn’t a title you’ll be showing off to your mates.
Moon Diver is a very odd beast of a game. As a single-player experience, it’s a strict old-school, arcade-action throwback, complete with the incredibly tough level of difficulty we’ve come to expect from the era. As a multiplayer experience, it’s a game where you and up to three of your pals, locally or online, basically bulldoze through everything in your path, having a great time just slashing everything that moves to shreds. In other words, it’s a solid game with a strange identity crisis...
MotorStorm: Apocalypse is action all the way. It's packed full of collapsing skyscrapers and disintegrating bridges, with the driving experience built around turbo boosting, jumps and vehicular combat. But does turning your iPod up to max volume and listening to it for 6-8 hours automatically create a classic album you'll want to come back to again and again? Let's see what's underneath the rubble.
