PS3 - PixelJunk Monsters - PS3 Network - PixelJunk Monsters - PS3 Network No one wants to see a village full of cute little monsters perish at the hands of a plague of spiders. So killing them is your motivation for replacing all the trees in a forest with cannons, gun towers and anti-aircraft missiles. Admittedly Greenpeace might not approve. PixelJunk Monsters’ hand-drawn 2D visuals give it a cutesy look, but they hide a deceptively deep real-time strategy game. Just not your typical one, because instead of ...

PS3 - The Club - The Club Every shooter ever made shares a set of common principles: Moving from point A to point B, trying not to get shot, and placing the sight at the center of the screen over various targets as quickly as your eyes and thumbs will allow. The only real difference between them all is how they’re dressed up with story and graphics. In The Club, however, things are different.Taking place in a handful of different locations, from an ocean liner, to ...

PS3 - Turok - Turok Our new Turok, unlike his forerunners, is not a dinosaur hunter (which is somewhat of a shame, as he would surely prove very able in the role). Instead, he’s an elite commando with a few skeletons in his closet. These skeletons were placed there by a man named Kane, a war criminal who once taught our boy Turok everything he knew. As Turok, your mission is to roll up on the desolate planet that Kane calls his home and bring your former ...

Devil May Cry might have redefined action gaming when it first stomped onto the PS2 in 2001, but since then the slashy-shooty series has fallen into semi-obscurity. ...

The first thing that hits you is how sprawling Paradises map seems. Then you realise you can drive from one end to the other in only about four minutes, and around its entire circumference in about ten, and its a little disheartening. But then you discover just how dense Paradise City is, how much there is to explore away from the main roads and all seems rosy. Except that, although 120 race events sounds like plenty, it isnt - we uncovered 97 of them within six hours, and although you can ...

Jan 15, 2008 Publisher Electronic Arts has gotten pretty good at blowing up and then rebuilding sagging sports franchises. After all, they killed off the moribund Triple Play Baseball and started over with MVP, which in 2005 yielded the best baseball game ever made - at least in our humble opinions. Next to be thrown into the remake-o-tron was Knockout Kings, whose successor Fight Night reigns as the current heavyweight champion of the world. Needless to say, we had high hopes when we heard ...

Dec 17, 2007 [Editor's Note: Some of you may notice that our PS3 and 360 reviews of The Orange Box have identical text, but the PS3 version has scored lower. This is not a typo. The two versions have identical content and both are fantastic. However, the PS3 version sometimes moves at a chuggy, stuttery pace (especially during Episode Two), and has notably longer loading times. These faults have cost it a point.] You can't get much for sixty bucks these days. Dinner and a movie for two? ...

PS3 Review
Dec 18, 2007 PS3 gamers are tired of getting the shaft with their multi-platform sports games. After all, this was the year when 360 owners got each football title delivered with 60 silky frames per second while Sony's next-generation fans got stuck with a choppy framerate half as good. However, that's not a problem with March Madness 08, as the PS3 version is equal to its 360 namesake. Unfortunately, like a much-hyped 7-footer who turns out to bring nothing but knees, elbows and ...
