PS3 - Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty - PS3 Network - Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty - PS3 Network

The original Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction was a divisive game here: some loved it; some didn’t see the fuss in what was essentially a hi-def PS2 platformer. So, how does this downloadable follow-up, Quest for Booty, compare, given the game’s glossy visuals have been watered down to fit on the PSN Store? ...

PS3 Review
It's no secret that the PS3's been hurting for good exclusives lately. Lair was a flaming wreck, and Warhawk and Heavenly Sword - while mostly excellent - were greeted with what seemed like a collective shrug from critics. A lot of heavy expectations are riding on the shoulders of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and although the game can't possibly meet them all, it certainly doesn't disappoint. First off, here's what Ratchet & Clank Future isn't: it's not a revolutionary ...

Monday 20 November 2006 Without good launch software, even the hottest new console's little more than an expensive pile of plastic and silicon. Luckily, PS3's got an ace in the form of Insomniac's retro-futuristic first-person shooter Resistance: Fall of Man. Unlike most of the other PS3 games, Resistance has some serious next-gen cred. While not super innovative, Resistance features an enjoyable single-player campaign and facilitates impressively busy online shootouts. Oh, and it looks pretty ...

PS3 Review
Ridge Racer 7 doesn't usher in a bold new era for next-generation racing, it won't justify the sky-high cost of the PS3 and - true to its lineage - it's as unrealistic as a racing game gets. Now that we've established what the game isn't, let's talk about what it is: fun. When the 360 launched, hardcore gamers quickly shelved let-downs like Perfect Dark Zero in favor of Ridge Racer 6, which - despite its so-so graphics and lack of any real innovation - provided one of the system's most solid, ...

PS3 Review

Looking back on preview coverage from this and other sites, there seems to have been a lot of excitement from critics leading up to the release of Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy. After playing through it from start to finish, though, it's hard to understand why. The Bourne Conspiracy is aggressively average, offering up an adaptation of The Bourne Identity that - while mostly enjoyable - fails to do anything that plenty of other games ...

Nov 19, 2007 "No f&#*ing way am I wearing that." That was the initial reaction by many gamers when they saw the little plastic guitar that powered the original Guitar Hero. My, how times have changed. In Rock Band - the new multiplayer spin from the original GH creators, Harmonix - not only do you eagerly want to grab a fake plastic guitar, but you won't have to look far to find three other people just as willing to step up to grab a fake plastic bass, fake plastic drums and a fake plastic ...
