It seems everyone's getting into the Christmas spirit today. We find out that Insomniac are releasing some Resistance related gifts onto the PSN Store during tomorrow's update. These gifts take the form of Resistance 2 XMB themes and a NEW trailer for the game. Not only that but the map packs for Resistance: Fall of Man will be made available to download for FREE, in case you're feeling retro this Christmas.

The feeling of 'deja vu' is in the air, since this is the fourth consecutive week Call of Duty: World at War remains in the top of the charts.
WildStorm (a branch of DC Comics) will be unleashing a 6 part graphic novel series which will utilize the universe of Resistance and it's primary protagonist named Nathan Hale. Mike Costa touts the writer credit, while Ramón Pérez will be at helm of the art. The issues are expected to cover the various events leading up to the beginning of the second title and serve as a direct tie-in to the game's plotline.
Sony is facing some tough times compared to its competitors, based on sales estimate data for November from the game industry analysts at EEDAR. According to the firm, both the PS3 and the PSP will post double digit year-over-year declines.
G4 and their hit show "X-Play" have announced their complete list of nominees for the "X-Play Best of 2008" awards show that will premier in a one-hour special on the network Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 8pm est/pst. Retailers across the UK have yet to receive copies of the PlayStation 3 exclusive title Resistance 2, as distributor Entertainment UK struggles to supply stores before Christmas.
