According to Gamestop, Resistance 2 is set to release September 18th, 2008 in the US for $59.99.

GameStop's release dates, as you well know, aren't always terribly accurate, especially this far off from the title's supposed launch. Their dates are usually estimates or dates sent in from the publishers (in this case SCEA), and only when delays or cancellations occur are dates moved, so just take this news with a grain of salt.

On another note, Gamestop and EB Games are now taking reservations for Resistance 2. As of today, for only $5, gamers can reserve a copy of this epic sequel and ensure that one is available the day the game releases.

Semi-official Sony blog Three Speech has let loose more details of the newly unveiled Resistance: Fall of Man sequel.

Those gigantic 60-player online battles will be squad-based, and have you choose your role from one of three classes: a hardy soldier with heavy weaponry, a special ops type for ranged attacks like sniping and a medic.

Insomniac has also taken feedback from the first game to improve long checkpoints and the health system, as well as using more of the PS3 power to cram greater numbers of enemies on screen and boost their intelligence to Key Stage 2.

Ian Ennis of Ripten.com recently got word from a supposedly "trusted source" that the upcoming Resistance Fall of Man sequel is ready for the pre-Alpha testing stage.

Being that there almost has been no information given or screenshots. Its hard to tell what this game will be like. However, as Ian Ennis of ripten.com said,
