Insomniac has been unusual lately when it comes to support for the hit title Resistance 2. Normally they are extremely fast to getting questions answered about their games and even adding awesome new content rather fast. Not being the case with Resistance 2, many fans have been rumoring a DLC and new patch coming soon for months without any confirmation or input by Insomniac.
Insomniac Games has created some incredible games for the PlayStation consoles over the past 15 years. Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet and Clank, and Resistance are some of the well known franchises included in that line up, but it's a sin not to recognize the less famous titles the developer punched out, like Disruptor, as well. Insomniac recently announced, in fact, that they have sold an astonishing 32 million plus PlayStation exclusive games.
In Joystiq's recent review of the upcoming PSP game, Resistance Retribution, they mistakenly take Sony to task for locking out PSP-1000 owners from using the DualShock 3 connectivity that R:R features. This seemed suspicious from what we were familiar with, so we talked to Jeff Rubenstein from the PS.Blog who set matters straight.

If you played Resistance: Fall of Man, you know that Insomniac continually looked for ways to improve the online experience, even several months after the game's release. It was no surprise when Halo 3 became the pinnacle release of this generation. What does come as a surprise is how it continues to show its self in the UK top 40 chart to this very day. After being out for over a year and a half, Halo 3 is still alive and selling at number 29 in the latest all format chart, which is higher than a number of high profile releases, including PS3 giant Resistance 2 despite being over a year older.
