In Resistance: Fall of Man, the Single Player campaign could be played both one player, and co-operatively with a friend locally with a split-screen. This has been scrapped for Resistance 2.

JStevenson , one of the developers of Resistance 2 just confirmed at Neogaf forums that there would be new 'ingame' images of Resistance 2 ,which would be posted tomorrow.
James Stevenson, who is head of Community Relations over at Insomniac Games, recently responded to a question over at NeoGAF relating to the length of Resistance 2's single player campaign mode.
GameXtract writes "Several gamers now currently reporting that if you head over to your local Gamestop you will in fact be able to get a beta code for the Resistance 2 beta. If you were not fortunate to be invited by Sony or you chose not to purchase Qore, then you can use this as your alternative plan. You can either head over to a retail store, or phone them up. If you have already pre-ordered the game you should receive your code via email or on the phone. The editors of Gamespot had a Q&A session with Ted Price of Insomniac games. A lot of new info surfaced in the Q&A session.

The application process for the Resistance 2 Beta has officially begun. The application consists of standard online gaming related questions, pertaining to the shooter genre.
GameXtract writes "Insomniac have a podcast known as the Full Moon Show where they chat about the recent happenings in the Insomniac world. In the latest podcast they get into Resistance 2, and I'll cut you guys the slack of having to listen to an hour long podcast, and cut to the chase. At 36 minutes in they mention the singleplayer levels, and how the textures have insignificantly improved since the previous week. They even mention that in a level known as Iceland some rooms actually give you the feeling of being cold. That's not good, because with this title coming out in November, I will already be freezing my ass off in four feet of snow! For more graphical goodies at 54 minutes in they confirm that they have received complaints about the graphics in certain multiplayer levels, and that they will be sure to polish them before release. This is always great confirmation to Resistance fans that Insomniac is ensuring that every level is polished down to the last corner. JStevenson who is one of the developers of Resistance 2, has revealed today that Insomniac would be demoing the first ever SP footage of the Single Player mission of Resistance 2, exclusively to the Gamestop employees at a private meeting.
