After our game was revealed at E3 in July, we got a lot of questions about connectivity between Resistance: Retribution and Resistance 2 on the PS3. We're pretty excited to announce that yes, we will be providing additional game play and features if you connect R:R to R2! Here's how it works."

The public beta for Resistance 2 is due to kick off on October 17th according to Jersey-based etailer Play.com.

Many of you have already been granted access to the upcoming Resistance 2 beta; you either pre-ordered the game at GameStop and received your key code that way, or you registered at the official site for beta testing. However, we're still not exactly sure when the the action will begin.

Resistance 2 is due out in time for Christmas, but despite this rapidly nearing milestone, developer Insomniac have vowed to keep tweaking and 'tuning' the game right up to release.Speaking to the official US PlayStation blog, Insomniac's James Stevenson revealed that his team hope to continue acting upon public beta feedback until just a few weeks prior to the game's launch.
