Capcom has released its longest, most revealing trailer of Resident Evil 5 yet, and as you'd expect it's shockingly good.

First and foremost, the two minute-plus video unveils Chris Redfield's new partner, who in complete non-tradition with the series, is a fit bird. He makes reference to Jill as well, who we reckon will probably turn up at some point.

What's more tantalising than the appearance of the sidekick is the video's display of awesome set pieces (sniping, dodging a crashing bus), which is a very encouraging sign that Resi 4's standout pacing will make a return in 5.

And is it just us or does it look like Capcom made a point of showing off the Caucasian zombies in this one (following earlier race controversy)?
