Resi 5 and SFIV invade PlayStation Home

Want to dress like Chun Li? Do it in Home and keep your friends!

PlayStation Home is finally getting interesting, if these screens from Japan are anything to go by. In celebration of the release of Resident Evil 5, Capcom and Sony have teamed up to offer a Resident Evil 5-themed lobby area, and it looks amazing. In fact, it's just like the game, only with zombie-like avatars instead of virus-infected villagers.

Looks great, doesn't it? However, the same can't really be said for the other bit of Capcom-related Home content:

It appears you can make your avatar look like a cosplay version of Ryu! You know what would have been cooler? The actual Ryu character model from the game, not just Ryu-alike clothes for your straight-backed, weedy avatar man. Imagine being able to walk around and Hadoken your fellow gamers in the lobby. It would have been great. Still, there are some SFIV character models to be collected as well, as you can see on the table.

Very cool. There are also Resi 5 statues to collect, although it's unclear from the Japanese translation whether these are trophy-related or simply available for purchase. Seeing as you can buy items already, we'd bet on the latter.

And then of course there's the Chun Li outfit - guranteed to get Kens and Ryus doing the Running Man around you wherever you roam.

Check out this Japanese site for the rest of the screens, then get saving your micropayments in your microwallet. However, without wanting to spoil the party, we should point out that none of this Capcom loveliness has been confirmed for the UK or the US yet. But having put so much effort into making something so desirable for Home, it's got to be a question of 'when', not 'if'. Fingers crossed.

stop hating every other console why did you click on thios article just to insult ps3 owners, isnt this website supposed supposed to be unbiased against peoples opinions against other consoles.
cmon if you really want to show how much you despise ps3 why dont you go to a 360 forum and then people will agree with you.
cause this aint just a website for 360s only dickwad.

P.S i have nothing against 360 owners just the people that dont respect PS3 owners

Enough with the retarded 'this console is crap' comments please, this site is for people over the mental age of 12.

Shut the fuck up. I have a 360 but you don't see me bashing the PS3 just for the sake of bashing it.
And if you're wondering why a 360 guy is checking out PS3 news, I'm just interested in Resident Evil and Street Fighter in general.

well, it looks like that guy took a lot a shit for that one little comment. but seriously though, if yer gonna be an annoying little fanboy for xbox, go do with yer other little fanboy pals, not on an article about the fucking thing you're critisizing. that was one of the most arogant things i've heard on this website. and that was more like the mental age of 9-10, when they learn how to say the word "crap".

how about; "the XBOX 360 and PS3 are both delightfully fun to play on, and therefore should not be pitted against each other simply due to their inventors. each console is great in it's own right, and both should be praised as revolutionary items of modern civilization"

or you could just say; "they're both as good as each other"

i suppose most would go for the latter...

P.S: Woooooooooohoooooooooo

when i first tried the home beta, i really liked it and looked forward for it to evolve. but since then ive lost hope and enthusiasm for home. i just wanna play games, not walk around talking to people on the other side of the country that dont play the same games as me, when home gets a WHOLE lot better or i get a better ps3 (like an 80gb or 120gb) and maybe ill look into it again. :D
