E3 is extremely trying. The long hours, the endless appointments... Companies try to heal our wounded souls with nourishing food. But how well do they do? Screw rating the games - we're going to rate the free eats.

Who better to start with than ourselves? On our first day at the lushly appointed DoubleTree hotel in downtown Santa Monica, we were served this trough of appetizing mixed pastas. Penne and tortellini go down in a slippery second, leaving you free to bang away at updating the site with minimum fuss.

Better than our coverage?

Kept warm by ineffective Sterno burners, it's not as hot as some of our articles.
