PushSquare: Racers, racing? Did you like that one? It took an entire degree in journalism for us to be able to come up with stuff like that. Bet you wish you went to Uni now don't you? Anyway, yes. PixelJunk Racers - the black-sheep in the PixelJunk franchise. It's not that it wasn't any good (it was), it's just that the game's been overshadowed by the likes of Shooter, Eden and Monsters. Q-Games aim to rectify that with a cheap and cheerful DLC pack for the top-down racer -- PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap.

According to the ESRB, a second PixelJunk Racers game is coming to the Playstation 3.

I'm Matt Morton, Associate Producer at SCEA Santa Monica Studio and I've had the great fortune of working on the PixelJunk series since the very first title, PixelJunk Racers. We've been working hard to keep spreading the PixelJunk Love (as Deb Mars calls it) and wanted to give you a heads up on the upcoming patch for PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Monsters: Encore. The patch will be releasing VERY soon, with Japan getting the first patch release on October 23. If all goes well with final testing, you will see the patch in SCEA and SCEE territories on October 30. If there are any delays to the above mentioned dates, we will be sure to update the blog to let you know about it, so stay tuned!

So, you may have spotted that Q-Games' indie title PixelJunk Racers, which appears to be something along the lines of slot-car racing for the 21st century (woo!), debuts on the PlayStation Network today. But something you may not have spotted (and I just did, thanks to Brandon Boyer!) is that there are teaser images for their next two downloadable PlayStation 3 games in the series on the Pixeljunk.jp website.
