Mike Hartnett at Tawkn.com writes: "The spaces just keep on coming as Q-Games has just announced that they will debuting all-new spaces dedicated to the PixelJunk series. We've got the pics as well as the statement from Q-Games for ya!"
The upcoming Encore expansion to PixelJunk Eden looks to be quite massive ... and quite fun. The Trophy list has been updated for the upcoming add-on, and the 11 new Trophies reveal some new details about the devilish new levels being added to the game. One Trophy requires a death-defying jump to get two Spectra in one go, while another asks players to open ten seeds without ever touching a plant. Ouch! Joystiq can't wait to see the new content later this month.

Publishers looking for a quick buck don't need to focus their efforts solely on the iPhone. Sony's Susan Panico touted the values of PSN development by providing a case study on PixelJunk Eden, Q-Games' third PSN-exclusive title. Panico told the GamesBeat audience that "PixelJunk Eden made its return on investment within 24 hours." Sales after that period become pure profit.

PS3Fanboy writes, "Finding the PixelJunk games frustratingly difficult? You are not alone; the guys over at TheBBPS wrote an open e-mail to Dylan Cuthbert, executive producer at Q-games, humorously complaining that his wife finds PixelJunk Monsters just a tad bit too overwhelming and requests difficulty settings for the game. Cuthbert acknowledges his prayers, stating that an upcoming free patch to Monsters will include the ability to make the game easier, or harder, than the default setting.

According to dcuthbert, PixelJunk Eden is going to provide up to 20 hours of gameplay. If that is true then the game is well worth the $9.99 price.
In their regular weekly feature, PlayStation LifeStyle takes a look at what we should be getting this week:
Through proficient use of a telephone, and a little bit of luck Joystiq has found out that a demo of PixelJunk Eden will be available tomorrow on PSN. It is likely the demo will only be available on the US store as Sony Europe are still asleep in regards to all things online not planning to release the game in Europe any time soon.
Seemingly some people have got their hands on Eden already, and the game's Trophy list has been revealed. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be any Golds in there, but with 20 Trophies to collect we reckon that's plenty anyway.
Sony has announced the next PlayStation Network exclusive game PixelJunk Eden has been given a release date on July 31, 2008. The puzzle game will be available in America, Europe and Japan on that day.
Q-Games' third title in the PixelJunk series was on hand at the Sony press booth at E3, where senior producer Deborah Mars gave an introduction to the game's unique play mechanics and explained the title's collaboration between Dylan Cuthbert, president of Q-Games, and Baiyon, the Kyoto-based visual artist and DJ. The latter designer is responsible both for the title's imagery and its electronic soundtrack.
