Starting today Sony Computer Entertainment America and AXE will be introducing the first ever AXE-branded virtual video game character in the form of "Smooth Jarvis." Smooth Jarvis will come enabled with two Double Pits to Chesty (DPTC) themed moves that mimic the signature motions involved in applying AXE deodorant bodyspray for men. You've seen the moves before–under both arm pits and across the chest - now here's your chance to use them to your advantage.

PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - PAIN Heading to Blu-Ray Disc. Popular PSN title PAIN is to be released on Blu ray disc next week in the PAL regions.

"PAIN PS3 will be out on Wednesday 24 June in Europe, 25 June in Australia and New Zealand, and the UK and Ireland on Friday 26 June for €24.99/£19.99"

All downloadable content bar the 'hoff' pack will be on the disc.

PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - Pain gets Blu-Rayed ButtonMasher writes: It isn't a new game but for those of us viewing this website that don't have the internet this is good news. Sony have announced that Pain will be released on Blu-Ray this June in all PAL regions. The disc based release will include three environments as well as 15 characters and 2 new game modes which along with the new maps should provide the extra something that was missing from the original PSN version.

Our community has asked us for certain features or types of gameplay, and we've taken that feedback and turned it into modes, characters, bug fixes, and so on. No doubt, continued development of PAIN is a time-consuming process filled with pitfalls and turmoil, but in the end, it seems to be working out for the best. We never seem to be able to give you enough content quickly enough, but we get some quality feedback every time we release new content (not just praise – constructive criticism is welcome, too).

We're about to drop the Smack Pack on you (sold separately), which includes the Darts and Fortress game Modes..."

Yes you read that right, a much needed update to the PSN avatar selection is indeed coming soon. Our inside sources have told us that we can expect new avatars for many SCEA titles in the coming months.

In fact we have already had some hints about this being dropped by SCEA's Marketing Manager Mark Valledor, as well as an actual sneak peak of some upcoming Pain avatars.

(Makes sense, considering it's the biggest download on PlayStation Network in 2008). One of the upcoming expansions to PAIN is a new Darts mode. This new mode looks to mix up the fun of Mime Toss with the competitive nature of Bowling. Also new to this mode: online multiplayer, a first for PAIN."
