After all, they killed off the moribund Triple Play Baseball and started over with MVP, which in 2005 yielded the best baseball game ever made - at least in our humble opinions. EA last week demonstrated the new football title NFL Tour for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 at the E for All Expo in Los Angeles. The Xbox 360 version held a faster frame rate and better animation than the PS3 build at the consumer show.

San Diego Chargers LB Shawne Merriman will be on the cover of EA Sports new game NFL Tour after besting Jason Taylor of the Dolphins and Dwight Freeney of the Colts in voting on the game's website. The official announcement from EA will come later today.
