PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Capcom Tackles Comics Once Again with Bionic Commando and Lost Planet So, it seems Capcom not only wants to "do with games what Marvel did with comics," but it looks like they want to do with comics what Marvel did with comics, too.

Four comics are on the way, and so far, two have been named in Bionic Commando and Lost Planet. Published by Devil's Due, these two comics, plus the identities of the remaining two, will make their debut soon at the San Diego Comic Con.

PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Bionic Commando: Chain of Command Comic to Link Games Together With Bionic Commando and its prequel, Bionic Commando Rearmed, both on the way to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the folks at Capcom thought that it might be a good idea to tie the two games together a little more closely than they're already doing.

And so, to that end they're creating an official webcomic known as Bionic Commando: Chain of Command. According to The Bionic Commando Newswire, the comic will be updated on a weekly basis every Wednesday.

PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Xbox Live Arcade Size Limits Limiting Capcom Games? While interviewing Capcom Producer Ben Judd for our Bionic Commando: Rearmed preview today,1up learned that not all versions of this hearty downloadable remake of the NES classic are being created equal. When the game hits this spring, the PlayStation Network version (as well as the PC incarnation) will have higher-res textures than the Xbox Live Arcade version. Blame Live Arcade's 150MB limit on file sizes, Judd explained.

PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Capcom looks at Bionic Commando Wii petition Who says online petitions don't work? In the latest Bionic Commando podcast, producer Ben Judd says Capcom is considering releasing a Wii version of the revived Bionic Commando series, currently tapped to arrive on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Responding to a question asking whether Capcom had seen an online petition for a Wii version, Judd said, "Yes, we have taken notice. We're very happy about that."

"All I can say right now is that we're certainly thinking about it. If there is going to be a Wii version that comes out, rest assured it's not going to be something that's announced tomorrow or in a week."

PS3 News from N4G | Bionic Commando (Next-Gen)
PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Custom Action Figures: Half-Life, Duke Nukem, MGS, Ninja Gaiden, Killzone 2 Jin Saotome's two latest creations are action figures based on Half-Life's Gordon Freeman (from the Half-Life series) and the 8-bit Bionic Commando. He built these two using G.I. Joe Sigma Six figures, but the results look almost worthy of retail. Freeman and the Commando even come with their signature crowbar and grappling arm, respectively. They are now up for auction on eBay via the Gaming Today link below (news.filefront.com).

Jin Saotome's website features additional custom action figures from other video games: Solid Snake (from Metal Gear Solid), Ryu (from Ninja Gaiden), and Helghast Soldier (from Killzone 2). They are currently not for sale.

The pictures of the figures are attached below.

PS3 News from N4G | Bionic Commando (Next-Gen)
PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Bionic Commando Remake Set for PS3 and X360 The latest issue of Famitsu has a first look at Bionic Commando: Master D Revival Plan, a 3D remake of the original Bionic Commando (known in Japan as Hitler's Revival).

Aside from the 3D visuals, the game promises to maintain the flavor of the original title, which presumably means pure side-scrolling gameplay. Capcom is adding a simultaneous two player mode, secret areas, and some elements that will connect the classic title to the new full 3D Bionic Commando.

The Bionic Commando remake will be released as a paid download through Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Store.

PS3 News from N4G | Bionic Commando (Next-Gen)
PS3 - Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) - Wii version of Bionic Commando a possibility Speaking to VideoGamer.com in an interview to be published on the site later today, Ben Judd said that a Wii version of the sequel to the 1988 NES original would largely depend on how much Bionic Commando's fans want it.

"If the interest is there, of course we want as many people as possible to appreciate this great franchise."

Some Wii-owners have expressed their disappointment that the game isn't currently being developed for Nintendo's motion-sensing controller, with a feeling that the Spiderman-esque swing mechanic would be well suited to the Wii Remote.
