PS3 - Beautiful Katamari - Namco quiet on Katamari rumours Namco Bandai has remained quiet on rumours that Beautiful Katamari will be released exclusively on Xbox 360.

The company told Eurogamer this morning that until it announced its plans and a publisher for Europe it couldn't possibly comment on speculation.

Even Microsoft remained tight-lipped, offering no comment on what would surely be a high-profile exclusive-snatch. Then again, it's E3 next month.

Following up once more on last week's announcement we've got another batch of Beautiful Katamari screenshots, thanks to Japanese site Game Watch. The screens give us our first look at Beautiful Katamari's new cousins in action, as well as the boosted levels of junk you can fling around on screen. PS3 - Beautiful Katamari - Beautiful Katamari details roll in Xboxic has cooperated with OXM again to give the online community an early preview of upcoming material. The idea of the game hasn't changed too much from previous installments in the series: it revolves around a Prince and his Katamari, a rolling clump of objects. Starting out small, the idea is to roll over lots of different objects in the environment to pick them up and grow the ever more colorful ball. Each stage has its own bizarro objective, such as achieving a specific size for the katamari, or collecting a set amount of specific objects onto the ball.

PS3 - Beijing 2008 - Rockstar VS Media Molecule In DIEA Nominations for Develop Industry Excellence Awards are unveiled, and two developers are likely to walk away with most of them.

Rockstar and Media Molecule will be contesting for the most category nominations. Rockstar snags six of them with GTA: Chinatown Wars and GTA IV: The Lost and the Damned from Rockstar while Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet alone is nominated for another five.

PS3 - Beijing 2008 - Athletes talk gaming as Beijing 2008 game hits shops GamesDog Reports: "Sega has released the official 2008 Olympics games video game on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and mobile phones for those who just can't get enough of the Olympics action.

There are 38 events for you to take part in across track and field, and for the first time in an Olympic game, it features an online play option.

Sega has chosen U.S. gold medal contenders Amanda Beard, Tyson Gay, Nastia Liukin and Reese Hoffa to be on the cover, some of which are gamers as well as real-life athletes.

"I played the old Nintendo Olympics game with the Power Pad, where you started out as the turtle and worked your way up to the cheetah," said Beard, the youngest US swimmer to ever bring home a gold."

PS3 - Beijing 2008 - Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of July 6th PS3 Fanboy writes: "It's another catch-up week this week, as the US finally gets its hands on Civilization Revolution and Asia is given Dark Sector and Kane & Lynch (though probably wishes it wasn't.) Europe is barren this week and the only new release of the bunch probably won't appeal to many people, unless you really love your Olympics. Here's the full release list:

PS3 - Beijing 2008 - Beijing 2008's Gymnastic Events Kotaku: Of all of the Olympic sports to video game translations, nothing suffers more than the gymnastic events. Sega is tackling six different gymnastic events in Beijing 2008, and while they might not give you an accurate feel for the sport they'll at least have interesting gameplay.
